DOT physicals for medical card certification
The DOT physical consists of reviewing your history,checking height, weight, blood pressure, eye/ear exam and other tests too! It includes a urine test (not a drug test) which checks for glucose, blood and protein.
A few important tips for the exam are to avoid coffee and other caffeinated beverages as they elevate blood pressure. Be relaxed for your exam, come in a few minutes early to fill out the paperwork. Wear comfy clothes. Do not smoke prior your appointment because that will elevate your blood pressure as well.
